Hi, welcome to my page. I am Changrui, you can also call me Ray. Now I am a PhD student at CS department of City University of Hong Kong(CityUHK), where I am supervised by Prof. MA Ziye(马梓业). Before that, I was an undergraduate student at Wuhan University, majoring in Information and Computational Science (also called Computational Mathematics), where I was fortunate to receive guidance from Prof. ZHANG Jiwei(张继伟) and Prof. HU Jie(胡捷).

My research interest:

• Data centric AI: LLM data selection
• Optimization: optimization landscape, training dynamics

🎯 News

• 2025.09.01 I began my research life in CityUHK!
• 2025.06.23 I joined the School of Data Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong(Shenzhen) as a research assistant and was supervised by Professor SUN Ruoyu.
• 2025.05.10 I have completed my undergraduate thesis defense, so happy!
• 2025.05.06 I accepted the PhD offer from CS department of CityUHK!
• 2025.04.01 I was selected as the outstanding undergraduate graduate of the School of Mathematics and Statistics in 2025.
• 2023.11 I won the National Second Prize (Top 2% of 180,000) at the China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling with my teammates LIAO Yang(廖洋) and ZHOU Dingbo(周定波)!
